Marvel studio history

 Marvel Studios has released 23 films since within the Marvel cinematic Universe, from Iran Man (2008) to Spider Man: Far from Home (2019), and one television series  since 2021, Wanda Vision. It was founded in 1993 December 7 since 27 years ago. Its products are motion pictures , television shows and music.

Marvel Studios was also involved with the production of other Marvel-character film franchises that have exceeded $1 billion in North American box office revenue, including the X-Men and Spider-Man multi-film franchises. Following Marvel Entertainment Group's (MEG) Toy Biz deal in 1993, Avi Arad of Toy biz was named President and CEO of Marvel Films division and of New World Family Filmworks, Inc., a New World Entertainment subsidiary. In August 1996, Marvel created Marvel Studios, an incorporation of Marvel Films, due to the sale of New World Communications group, The first film packaged and licensed by Marvel Studios was Blade, based on the vampire hunter Blade. The film was directed by Stephen Norrington and starred Wesley Snipes as Blade. It was released on August 21, 1998, grossing $70,087,718 in the United States and Canada and $131,183,530 worldwide. In 2004, David Maisel was hired as chief operating officer of Marvel Studios as he had a plan for the studio to self-finance movies. Initially Marvel Studios was in talks with Universal Pictures as a possible distributor, as Universal owned the film rights to both Hulk and Namor during that time. Negotiations dragged on, so the studio began talks with Paramount pictures . In January 2008, Marvel Animation was incorporated to direct Marvel's efforts in animation and home entertainment markets including then animation efforts with Lionsgate and Nickelodeon. On December 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company purchased Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion. Both Marvel and Disney stated that the merger would not affect any preexisting deals with other film studios for the time being. The first film packaged and licensed by Marvel Studios was Blade, based on the vampire hunter Blade. The film was directed by Stephen Norrington and starred Wesley Snipes as Blade. It was released on August 21, 1998, grossing $70,087,718 in the United States and Canada and $131,183,530 worldwide.

The next film licensed by Marvel was Spider man By Colombia pictures. Marvel had licensed out the film rights to many of their characters to other studios in the 1990s, starting with the X-Men to 20th Century Fox in 1993. Filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to raise money to finance the new corporation, Marvel, Isaac Perlmutter's Zib, Inc. and Avi Arad sold Toy Biz stocks, which Marvel had started and took public in February 1995. New World Animation and Marvel Films Animation were sold along with the rest of New World by Andrews Group to News Corporation/Fox as announced in August 1996.

  Since the film was shot on a wind up Bolex, sound couldn't be recorded on set. All the dialogue was then dubbed in post. Director Mark Jenkin processed the 130 rolls of Kodak 16mm B&W film 16mm film himself in his studio. Much of the film was shot in the Admiral Benbow, Penzance. This pub, opened in 1959, houses thousands of artefacts salvaged from ships wrecked of the Cornish coast and the Isles of Sicily. Printed Film Format  is D cinema.  "The wind on my Bolex allows for 27 seconds of shooting time, so no single take is ever longer than that," he says. "Although in practice we actually  lit pretty much everything - the exterior and interiors scenes  with LEDs to subtly lift the look as appropriate, I wanted the result to look as natural as possible."   Technology : Special Effects Avengers: Endgame is one of five movies competing at the 2020 Oscars for best visual effects.  Al Maloney spoke to Frame store's Stuart Penn about the challenges of creating the effects for the film.  The movie contains nearly 2,500 visual effects shots from VFX houses, including Frame store, Weta Digital, Industrial Light & Magic, and DNEG that were worked on for three years.  The portals featured special effects. The Avengers ran straight toward Thanos and his army. The Avengers preparing for their final "Endgame" battle. They assembled once everyone returned.
