Early Day Films is a Bristol based production company founded by Kate Byers and Linn Waite Linn's production career formed in Bristol’s vibrant short film culture. She worked in varied production roles on a raft of short films .

She is strongly committed to maintaining the quality and vision within EDF’s slate, while attentive to the business, market, distribution and audience.

Linn heads production and company development at EDF.

Kate evolved into producing from a successful acting career where she frequently encountered new writing, devising, and improvised work.

Her focus in Early Day comes from this developmental background, her passion for working with writers, and her commitment to new artists.

The Animation studio and communication agency is based in Grenoble, France.  It is notable for producing films based on novels, particularly the  Diary of a Wimpy Kid  and  The Hunger Games  series.   Since the film was shot on a wind up Bolex, sound couldn't be recorded on set. All the dialogue was then dubbed in post. Director Mark Jenkin processed the 130 rolls of Kodak 16mm B&W film 16mm film himself in his studio. Much of the film was shot in the Admiral Benbow, Penzance. This pub, opened in 1959, houses thousands of artefacts salvaged from ships wrecked of the Cornish coast and the Isles of Sicily. Printed Film Format  is D cinema.  "The wind on my Bolex allows for 27 seconds of shooting time, so no single take is ever longer than that," he says. "Although in practice we actually  lit pretty much everything - the exterior and interiors scenes  with LEDs to subtly lift the look as appropriate, I wanted the result to look as natural as possible." Once the film development was concluded, the rolls were shipped to  Kodak Film Lab, at Pinewood Studios, for a 2K  DPX scan and a one -light technical-grade. The entire footage was then returned...

  Technology : Special Effects Avengers: Endgame is one of five movies competing at the 2020 Oscars for best visual effects.  Al Maloney spoke to Frame store's Stuart Penn about the challenges of creating the effects for the film.  The movie contains nearly 2,500 visual effects shots from VFX houses, including Frame store, Weta Digital, Industrial Light & Magic, and DNEG that were worked on for three years.  The portals featured special effects. The Avengers ran straight toward Thanos and his army. The Avengers preparing for their final "Endgame" battle. They assembled once everyone returned.
